In accordance with the Internal Quality Assurance System (SGIC) of the Philology Section, the degree has teaching coordination mechanisms (horizontal and vertical), the main objective of which is to establish the system to coordinate teaching activity, both in terms of the programming of the subjects and their development and evaluation, in order to guarantee that they are carried out in accordance with the forecasts made, that is, that the temporal planning of the same, the sequencing of the contents of the different subjects and courses that make up the study plan and the allocation of the student's workload are adequate to ensure the correct acquisition of the learning outcomes.
The Quality Committee of the Department, responsible for planning, organizing, and monitoring the academic coordination of the Bachelor's Degree program, establishes the processes to be applied in the management and review of the coordination of the degree's teaching activities. The Degree program has the necessary structure to carry out this coordination at different levels: degree coordinators, course coordinators, and subject coordinators. Academic coordination is carried out horizontally, both among the faculty of the same subject (subject coordination) and among the faculty of the subjects in each year (course coordination), and vertically within the Degree's academic committee, composed of the course coordinators and the Degree coordinator, who facilitates communication and coordination among the different years. This committee meets at least twice: at the beginning of the academic year to define the objectives and at the end of the academic year to evaluate the academic coordination and academic performance.
Likewise, the Quality Committee, which includes, among others, the coordinators of the Section's various degrees, analyzes the strengths and weaknesses found in relation to the quality of the teaching provided, and establishes appropriate improvements.
