Students applying for Erasmus mobility in the study mode must prove the language level required by the corresponding call regulating the pre-selection process, through a language certificate that accredits their knowledge of the language. This accreditation must be done through This procedure of the electronic headquarters, previously to the submission of the application for participation in the Erasmus+ call and as deadline: the last day of the Erasmus+ application submission periodThe procedure itself establishes the language certificates accepted for such accreditation.
The General Foundation of the University of La Laguna regularly organizes accreditation or language level tests: FGULL level tests.
There is also the possibility of carrying out the Level test for students entering PhDs, postgraduate studies, international programs, and TFG students at the University of La Laguna. of the ULL Language Service for the English language. Passing these tests does not entitle you to a language level certificate, but rather this Vice-Rectorate is notified directly whether or not it meets the requested level, and this test is not valid for any other accreditation than the one mentioned, nor for another academic course.
OLS language tests
The European Union OLS language level test is administered online through the Erasmus+ Online Language Support (OLS) application, where you must create a user account to access all the necessary information. Once your stay is over, students can take a final language level test to monitor their progress on the same platform. To do so, they will receive access to the final test from the same platform where they took the initial test.
All information about OLS placement tests and recommended OLS language courses, as well as frequently asked questions and answers, is available at Information for students (participants) in Spanish.

The European Community promotes cooperation between universities with the aim of improving the quality of teaching for the benefit of students and higher education institutions, and considers student mobility an essential element of this cooperation.
The recognition of studies and qualifications is a prerequisite for the creation of an open European area in education and training, where students and teachers can move freely. To this end, the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS) was developed as a pilot project to facilitate the academic recognition of studies completed abroad.
The ECTS is a tool for transparency, designed to establish the necessary conditions for collaboration between institutions and expand the range of options offered to students. The ECTS is based on three basic elements: information on study programs and student results, mutual agreement between partner institutions and students, and the use of ECTS credits. These three elements are operationalized through three key documents: the information catalogue, the application form/study contract, and the academic certificate.
Full academic recognition is a sine qua non for student mobility within the framework of the Socrates/Erasmus programs. It entails recognizing that the period of study abroad is equivalent to a comparable period of study at the home institution, despite differences in program content.
The ECTS is based on its voluntary nature and mutual academic trust among partner institutions. It also guarantees transparency through the following instruments:
You must have the European Health Insurance Card to enjoy the right to health care in the destination country.
Muface: Students who are included in the special Muface regime should contact their employers to receive the appropriate information directly from them.
