The support and guidance made available to students once they have enrolled in the degree respond to what is stated in section 4.3 of the Degree Verification Report.
Once students have been admitted to the Master's program, the Academic Committee will assign them a tutor who will be responsible for guiding and advising them throughout their learning process, as well as assisting them with the Master's administrative procedures. The tutor must guide students in designing their academic curriculum and actively monitor their academic progress. In addition to guiding students through general aspects of the Master's program, the tutor will inform them about the options available and the infrastructure available to them. They will also inform students of the projects they can participate in to complete their Master's thesis. The tutor must hold regular meetings with the students they supervise to analyze the progress of the learning process. To this end, they will develop a tutoring plan outlining the activities planned throughout the academic year, issuing a report at the end of the year to be sent to the Academic Committee.
Within the proposed tutorial Action Plan, two horizontal activities will be incorporated:
a) Presentation session to students of relevant information about the Master's degree, once registration has been completed.
b) Presentation session of existing resources in the library and practical session for students to learn how to use the available electronic resources.
Through the various levels of tutoring and teaching coordination (Academic Director, Subject Coordinator, Master's Thesis Tutor, etc.), a direct and ongoing relationship is maintained with students, allowing for the detection and diagnosis of causes of difficulties in academic performance and learning processes, and allowing for the assessment of their scope and effectiveness, with these being reported to the Academic Committee, where appropriate.
In addition to the existing structures at the centre level, the ULL has an Information and Orientation Service (SIO) aimed at informing, advising and guiding future students and the university community in general. The SIO has three different areas: an information area (scholarships and grants, university training proposals, procedures, rights and duties, deadlines and procedures, etc.), a Psychopedagogical Advisory Service and a Legal Advisory Service. The SIO can be accessed through the following link: link. Likewise, the ULL has the Program for Support to Students with Specific Educational Support Needs (PAED).
