Psychopedagogical Intervention in Formal and Non-Formal Education Contexts

Access, admission and registration

Admission is the set of requirements necessary to pursue university studies. Compliance with these requirements is prior to admission to the courses to be taken. Those who meet the required requirements may access the Master's degree:

  • Possession of any official Spanish degree or another issued by an institution of the European Higher Education Area that grants access to master's degree courses in the country issuing the degree, without prejudice to the establishment of any additional prior training that may be deemed necessary in this case. The Master's Degree is aimed primarily at graduates in Psychopedagogy, Pedagogy, Specialist Teaching, Speech Therapy, Psychology, Social Education, Early Childhood Education and Primary Education, as well as students of other degrees provided that they possess the basic prior skills related to the principles of educational intervention in formal and non-formal contexts. Likewise, graduates who comply with the provisions of art. 16 of RD 1393/2007 may access the course.
  • Possession of a foreign higher education qualification that is recognised or equivalent to the corresponding official Spanish qualifications, without the need for recognition of said qualification, after verifying that it qualifies the applicant in the country that issued the qualification for access to postgraduate studies. In this case, authorisation will be required, by means of a Resolution, from the Rector, without prejudice to the establishment in this case of any additional prior training that is deemed necessary.
  • In addition, the University of La Laguna, in compliance with the provisions of Decree 168/2008, of July 22 (Official Gazette of the Canary Islands No. 154, of August 1), establishes that in order to access this master's degree, it will be an essential requirement to prove a B1 level of English. In addition, you can consult the following list of subjects that ULL and ULPGC, for the purposes of enrolment in a master's degree at the University of La Laguna, entails acquiring a B1 level of English.
  • You can consult the Collaboration Agreement between the ULL and the ULPGC for the reciprocal recognition of Certificates of Accreditation of foreign language skills at level B1 and exemption from subjects as an academic requirement that enables admission to Master's degrees (to view the document, Click here). Admission is the allocation of places offered by the ULL to study official university courses among those who, fulfilling the access requirements indicated above (Graduate/Bachelor's degree and/or approved foreign qualification and B1 in English), have requested them.

Admission is carried out through the procedure established for this purpose in the ULL Regulations. The student must attach all official documents that prove the profile required for access, his/her academic record and his/her curriculum vitae, through which he/she will be evaluated for admission to the master's degree according to criteria of equality, merit and capacity.

The body responsible for admission that will evaluate the applications will be the Academic Committee of the degree, whose composition is determined in article 30 of the Regulations for Official Master's Degree Courses at the University of La LagunaArticle 31 of the aforementioned regulation states that the proposal for admission of students is one of the functions of the Academic Commission.

For the Master's Degree in Psychopedagogical Intervention in Formal and Non-Formal Education Contexts, the following criteria apply and will be considered in the admission phase and the scale is as follows:

  • Academic record: maximum 10 points
  • Training received in Masters, Experts and related Courses: maximum 2 points
  • Research experience in related topics: maximum 4 points
  • Professional experience related to the degree: maximum 4 points.
  • Proof of a higher level of English than required: maximum 1 point.
  • Other significant merits related to the title and content of the master's degree: maximum 1 point.

Enrolment is the formal instrument through which one acquires the status of university student. Before enrolling, students who wish to take the Master's degree must meet the entry requirements and have obtained a place through the admission process.
