Master's Degree in Chemistry

Admission and graduation profile

Admission profile

The admission profile is the knowledge, skills and abilities of the students who access the degree.

Students wishing to enter must have a scientific-technical profile with extensive knowledge of Chemistry. The recommended entry profile for the Master's in Chemistry coincides with that of graduates of the Bachelor's/Graduate degrees in Chemistry, Pharmacy, Environmental Sciences, Chemical Engineering and Chemical Engineering. These students have the previous educational level required for access to the Master's, and it is not necessary to complete additional training.

For other related qualifications, the Academic Committee will study each application individually and may, where appropriate, require the completion of additional training courses that guarantee the student has the minimum knowledge of Chemistry necessary to successfully complete the Master's studies.

The Master's degree will also allow access to graduates who meet the requirements of Article 16 of RD 1393/2007 and who also have the required B1 level of English.

Graduation profile

The graduate profile is the skills, knowledge and abilities that the student must have acquired upon completion of the degree. This information is included in the section on competencies/learning outcomes defined for the title.

The graduate of this master's degree will therefore be a graduate with specialized and advanced training with professional capacity and qualification.

The Master's Degree is essential to provide our students with advanced training in all fields of chemistry that introduces them to the field of chemical research, placing them in an optimal theoretical-practical position to carry out research work that will lead them to the completion of their Doctoral Thesis, or to their incorporation into R&D&I Departments of public or private organizations, or in the purely professional field, enabling their incorporation as highly qualified personal and technical professionals in companies in the chemical, pharmaceutical, food or environmental sectors.
