The University of La Laguna and the Tenerife Island Council will hold the presentation of the III Service-Learning (SLA) Awards next Wednesday, September 18, at 5:30 p.m., in the Noble Hall of the Tenerife Island Council.

These awards recognize and give visibility to educational projects that generate a positive impact on society through Service-Learning, a methodology that combines academic training with the active involvement of students in improving their environment.

This year's awards will recognize the best projects in both university and non-university settings, as well as honorable mentions for outstanding initiatives. New this year is the recognition of the best collaborating association, highlighting the importance of the social network that supports these projects.

The ApS Awards are consolidating themselves as an educational benchmark, promoting committed, critical and supportive teaching, aligned with values such as social responsibility, citizen participation and equality.

Beyond recognizing academic and social excellence, these awards seek to inspire new generations of students and teachers to actively participate in building a fairer, more sustainable, and cohesive society.
