Description

Self-defense for women consists of providing them with a set of techniques designed to prevent or repel an attack, performed by and for themselves. It can also be called self-protection or personal safety, given the importance of prevention. The focus is not solely on technique, but also on developing various skills applicable to different contexts, acquired through training.

Goals

  • Protect yourself against attacks.
  • Learn immobilization techniques against attacks, whether hand-to-hand or using a blunt object.
  • Use the energy of the opponent's attack to apply evasion techniques.
  • Automate specific attack and defense techniques.
  • Evading attacks from bladed objects.
  • Using the opponent's strength to enhance our own strength.
  • Learn basic standing and ground defense positions.
  • Control basic displacements (stability).
  • To strike with our limbs in order to neutralize the attacker.
  • Perform falls safely (with and without rotation, forwards, sideways and backwards).
  • Increase the safety of women.
  • To publicize the resources available to combat violence against women.
