The main objective of this degree is to provide scientific, technological, and socioeconomic training in the field of computer science, leading to adequate preparation for professional practice in the development and application of information and communications technologies (ICT).
The goal is to train individuals who are experts in software technology, computer architecture and technology, computer network technology, and electronic equipment.
The entry profile for this degree is for someone with an interest in computer science and an awareness of science, engineering, and information technology. Although no specific prior knowledge is required, those who have opted for the Science and Technology track in post-secondary education will be better suited to these studies. This is especially true for those with knowledge of mathematics (aptitude for using algorithms and processes), physics, English, and user-level computer tools (operating system, word processor, spreadsheet, database, etc.).
