Recognition and transfer of credits

The Recognition of Credits implies the acceptance by the University of the credits obtained, taking into account what is established in the Verification/Modification Report of the Degree and the provisions of the applicable regulations, that is, Regulations on Recognition, Adaptation and Transfer of Credits from the University of La Laguna (modified at the Governing Council meeting of 19 March 2021)through:

  • Official University Education
  • Own Titles
  • Accreditation of Work and Professional Experience
  • Participation in National and International Mobility Programs

The credits corresponding to the Master's Final Project subjects may not be subject to recognition (Art. 6.2 of the RD 1393/2007 of the organization of official university education).

Credit Recognition – External Internship Subject

The Master's Degree in Human Resources Management offers the possibility of recognizing credits for the External Internship course based on accredited professional experience, provided that said experience is relevant to the competencies and content of the degree, in accordance with the provisions of its Verification Report.

What kind of experience can be recognized?

Professional experience of at least one year's duration, developed in the following areas, may be recognized:

  • Human Resources Management Departments, both in the private sector and in Public Administration.
  • Practice of related professions, such as:
    • Social Graduate
    • Labor Lawyer
    • Labor Auditor

Recognition will be proportional and progressive, up to a maximum of 9 credits, depending on the duration and intensity of the experience. As a guide, up to 6 ECTS credits may be recognized for a full year of relevant professional experience.


What skills are valued?

Those who demonstrate this experience will be considered to have developed, depending on their professional profile, skills related to:

  • CG2: Solve problems in new or unfamiliar environments in the field of strategic HR management and direction.
  • CE14: Apply socio-labor evaluation and audit techniques.
  • CE15: Act in accordance with the legal framework for labor relations in Spain and Europe.
  • CE16: Manage legal information and data and indicators related to HR management in Public Administrations.
  • CE17: Identify relevant problems linked to the strategic management of HR.

Recognition will be granted if, after assessing the documentation, it is considered that the professional performance has allowed the student to acquire the skills developed in the External Internship course.


Documentation that the applicant must provide

In order for the application to be assessed, the following must be submitted:

  1. Certification of employment history, accompanied by a supporting report detailing the tasks performed and their connection to the master's degree competencies.
  2. Report from the center, company or institution where the professional experience was developed, specifying:
    • Functions performed
    • Duration of performance
    • Specific role of the applicant
  3. In the case of independent practice of the profession, a descriptive report equivalent to the business report must be submitted.

How and when do I apply?

The application must be initiated by the interested party in accordance with the deadlines and procedures established by the University of La Laguna.
