Research in design: application in the design and development of new brainteaser games
Abstract
The aim of this article is to establish and clarify a design research approach through demonstrative examples of research projects at three levels: basic, applied and technological development. The corroboration of these projects both by their practical application to real products on the market would provide an initial verification of knowledge transfer to companies. The second level of evaluation would be market penetration of the end products, with this possibly being the clearest form of validation. However, the positive evaluation of the various research phases requested from the CNEAI based on these practical experiences, places a different value on the projects carried out because they validate a particular way of understanding design research; this has enabled us to generate a very particular kind of know-how, allowing us to transfer this expertise to the knowledge area of drawing and improve its scientific performance, something the country’s educational institutions are clamouring for.
