Abstract

A serires of historial considerations are made on some of the outstanding moments and circumstances in the instrumental and material of traditionally onsidered sculpture. The materials of sculpture as materials of life and daily work. European continental trade, its sagas and the war. The eruption of metal to revolutionise industry and, finally, iron, the birth of avant-garde and the swansong of the «noble materials» of sculpture. With the METALLURGY section, based on primitive techniques, we present a study of the subject that will continue in the future.
