Final Degree Project

The Final Degree Project (TFG) subject is compulsory and is key to the degree, since it includes the evaluation of a large number of specific and generic skills of the degree, as can be seen in the Teaching Guide corresponding.

He TFG The Degree in Design is oriented towards the integrated application of:

  • Competencies on skills and training content acquired during the teaching period.
  • Abilities for searching, interpreting and managing relevant data in the development of critical and creative judgment.

General requirements for the completion of the TFG

In order to carry out the Final Degree Project, students must meet the following general requirements:

  • You have a maximum of 60 ECTS left to complete the degree during the regular enrolment period and you have enrolled in all the basic and compulsory credits remaining to complete it.
  • Any other academic requirement established by the degree in its Verification/Modification Report and in the teaching guide for the subject.

The provisions of the Regulations for the subject “Final Degree Project” of the University of La Laguna (Approved at the Governing Council meeting of 2/12/2015 and Modified at the Governing Council meeting of 18 December 2020).

In this regard, the following will be taken into account:
The completion of the TFG in this academic year will be carried out using modality A (general organization) established in the Regulations of the Final Degree Project subject. The organization of the subject will be governed by the following:

  1. Selection of the tutor from among the professors with teaching dedication assigned to this subject and proposal of one or several possible lines of work. The type of TFG will correspond to the development of Design projects and must demonstrate a sufficient number of competencies of the degree. The topic of the TFG will be agreed between the tutor and the student/s and may focus on any of the options or areas for which the degree is formed. The tutor will carry out orientation and advice tasks for the student during the completion of his/her TFG, as well as in the preparation of the presentation and defense of the same.
  2. Final Degree Project Report. The presentation of the report is mandatory for any of the project modalities chosen. Each tutor must ensure the quality and academic rigor of the content of the report and its correct development until its completion. The professional skills for which the degree is awarded must be sufficiently demonstrated in the TFG.
  3. Defense of the Final Degree Project. The defense will be oral, public and mandatory for all types of work.
