Natural products are one of the most important sources of compounds with potential pharmaceutical applications. Prospecting in plant species capable of producing natural products with antiproliferative activity is one of the lines of research that has the greatest impact on the health and well-being of humanity. In this sense, secondary metabolites of plant origin have been a source of chemical entities with enormous potential for the treatment of cancer. Thus, we have collaborated with various national and foreign groups in bioprospecting work on terrestrial and marine organisms in America, Africa and Europe.
