Master's Degree in Philosophy Research

Justification of the title

The Interuniversity Master's Degree in Philosophy Research is an Official Master's Program that arises from a transformation of the Master's Degrees in Philosophy offered by the different participating universities. On the one hand, it is a transformation of the Master's Program in Contemporary Philosophy and its historical presuppositions, currently taught at the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Murcia (verified by ANECA) and of the Master's Degree in Philosophy Research, taught at the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of La Laguna (and also verified by ANECA). The Master's Degree is joint and unique for the 3 universities. The offer of all subjects will be the same for the 3 universities.

We wanted to design an Interuniversity Program that, due to the number of participating professors and researchers, would strengthen the research orientation and national and international competitiveness. We want to guarantee leadership in different areas of philosophical knowledge with a sufficient critical mass of professors and master's students. In fact, by combining the resources of the four universities we have achieved:

  • A teaching staff with proven teaching and research experience, capable of developing the specializations (in the form of specialties) contemplated by the Program.
  • Research teams that have proven public or private funding for their lines of research and quality scientific production.
  • An interuniversity program that represents a relevant critical mass within the four areas (Aesthetics, Ethics, Philosophy and Logic) in Philosophy as an institution in Spain.
