Archiving and Preservation
Cuadernos del CEMYR develops various procedures aimed at ensuring the permanent accessibility to the contents hosted in its servers:
- Backup copies
- Monitoring the technological aspects to prevent potential conversions of format or obsolete software.
- Digital preservation metadata.
- Using Digital Object Identifier (DOI).
- Using as an editorial manager software Open Journal Systems (OJS) in its 3.1.1.4 version, an open source software with the interoperability protocol OAI-PHM ( Open Archive Initiative-Protocol for Metadata Harvesting).
This journal uses an archiving resource resident, with no restrictions for the reading public in the Portal de Revistas Científicas de la Universidad de La Laguna and the so-called Institutional Repository of the University of La Laguna. It serves the functions of publication as well as digital archiving, aimed at preserving the assets generated from Cuadernos del CEMYR. The system, which is based on the DSpace tool, uses open standards for interoperability, ensuring maximum dissemination of the scientific content of the magazine, while maintaining its integrity, authenticity, reliability, readability, and functionalities.
Documents published in this website are available in formats easily reproduced. Servicio de Publicaciones ULL will revise the archiving policy periodically.
