El teatro en la calle
Abstract
This paper deals with the development of European drama during the Middle Ages, after a supposed extinction that cannot be completely asserted due to the lack of data. The rebirth of drama inside the church is well attested by manuscripts containing fragments to be represented and also by the chronicles. From the inside of the church drama moves out agglutinated with religious processions. Growing importance and acceptance will grant drama some independence and, though still presenting religious topics, it will find space for everyday life and its comic side. Finally, drama will make of the street its space by symbiosis with its surroundings and urban achitecture, which became its main scenery.
