Competencies

Competencies are the set of knowledge, skills and attitudes to be acquired by students throughout the degree, aimed at preparing them for the exercise of professional activities.

Basic Competencies

CB6 – Possess and understand knowledge that provides a basis or opportunity for originality in the development and/or application of ideas, often in a research context.

CB7 – Students will be able to apply their acquired knowledge and problem-solving skills in new or unfamiliar environments within broader (or multidisciplinary) contexts related to their area of study.

CB8 – Students should be able to integrate knowledge and address the complexity of making judgments based on information that, while incomplete or limited, includes reflections on the social and ethical responsibilities associated with the application of their knowledge and judgments.

CB9 – Students should be able to communicate their conclusions and the underlying knowledge and reasons that support them to specialized and non-specialized audiences in a clear and unambiguous manner.

CB10 – Students will have the learning skills to enable them to continue studying in a manner that will be largely self-directed or autonomous.

General Competencies

CG1 – Ability to communicate, in writing, verbally and multimedia, with different audiences and media.

CG2 – Ability to organize and plan actions within the professional field, with an orientation toward achieving goals and concrete results, and with an ethical commitment.

CG3 – Ability to work in interdisciplinary teams to achieve objectives and solve problems together.

Specific Competencies

CE1 – Ability to recognize in reality, and critically analyze, the most important trends in communication today, using the main concepts, theories and models that explain them.

CE2 – Ability to explain and differentiate the economic, political, and social models that have developed historically and today, and recognize their influence on the most relevant trends and actors in the environment in which organizations operate.

CE3 – Understanding the strategic role of communication in today's organizations, and the ability to explain and innovatively apply its main management tools.

CE4 – Knowledge of the legal, ethical and social framework in which the activities of organizations are carried out.

CE5 – Ability to select and apply different research methodologies and techniques to conduct complex diagnostics on the communication of organizations, institutions, and political leaders, on the impact of their communication actions, and on their reputation.

CE6 – Ability to formulate objectives, design innovative actions, deliver results and quantify costs in the various fundamental communication aspects of organizations.

CE7 – Knowledge of communication planning and management mechanisms, and the ability to apply them in an innovative way to achieve strategic objectives of an institutional, business, or political nature.

CE8 – Ability to build and enhance an organization's reputation among its various audiences through the innovative application of public relations tools and processes.

CE9 – Ability to improve the process of ideation, communication and commercialization of a product or service, through
advanced management of different analog and digital tools, and the latest marketing processes and trends, from an innovative perspective in their application.

CE10 – Ability to create and communicate intangible assets linked to the organization's relational capital and knowledge of the mechanisms that generate value for brands, through the development of advertising communication strategies appropriate for achieving these objectives.

CE11 – Mastery of the internal and external functions of an organization's strategic communications management, including team management and leadership.

CE12 – Ability to conceive, design and implement a project for the organization and production of an event of any nature.

CE13 – Skill in using corporate communication and public relations tools to manage crisis situations.

CE14 – Ability to conceive, design, and execute political and electoral communication campaigns within the framework of strategic and comprehensive planning.

CE15 – Knowledge, skills and abilities to communicate organizational decisions to society, the market and the organization itself, through informative and persuasive messages presented in an attractive and comprehensive manner in different formats (textual, audiovisual and multimedia).

CE16 – Ability to manage media relations efficiently.

CE17 – Knowledge of the principles of social responsibility and the ability to apply them within the framework of organizational communication.
