Review

Preliminary Evaluation of the Manuscript

  • The Editorial Board of the journal will conduct a preliminary analysis of the received manuscript.
  • If the manuscript is considered suitable for publication, an editor from the Editorial Board will be assigned.
  • The editor will notify the author that their manuscript is eligible to begin the review process.

Peer Review

  • If the submission belongs to a section requiring anonymous peer review, the responsible editor will assign two or more reviewers, who accept the completion of the review within the deadlines set by the journal.
  • Once the peer-review is completed, the responsible editor will receive a notification.
  • The reviewers will follow the criteria established in the Peer Review Policy.
  • Once the blind peer review is completed, the responsible editor will analyze the reviewers’ recommendations and decide:
    • Accept Submission: Ready to proceed without the need for an additional review.
    • Publishable with Modifications: Minor changes required that will be notified to the author.
    • Resubmit for Review: Major changes needed, that will be subjected to another round of review, being notified to the author.
    • Not Publishable: Rejected being notified to the author.
  • If reviews provide conflicting recommendations, an additional reviewer will be selected.
  • Once the reviews are completed, the responsible editor who monitors the process will confirm the recommendations of the reviews.
