A hypothesis for a new reading of IC IV 171 (ll. 1-2)
Abstract
Through a technical re-examination of the squeeze pertaining IC IV 171 we propose a new reading of the two initial lines that contain the dating formula with mention of the new Deioi tribe at Gortys.
