Composition of The Dinner of the Seven Wise Men: an epistolary narrative
Abstract
This study focuses on two main aims. Firstly, it examines how a rhetorical exercise influenced the use and form of some narratives in Plutarch’s Dinner of the Seven Wise Men. Secondly, a different perspective on the composition of this work and its epistolary format will be provided.
