Abstract
The present study deals with a new analysis of the term χρεία and its relation with others concerning the action of the body parts. In conclusion, the polysemy of this word, both in Greek and Modern Languages, is due to the possibility of interpret this term, at least, under a triple perspective: first, the agent which determines the action (usage); second, the part which acts (function) and third, the produced result (utility).
