Correction and Retraction
Articles and other types of documents published in Latente will remain current, accurate, and unaltered to the extent possible. However, exceptional circumstances may arise in which an article is published that must subsequently be corrected, retracted, or even deleted. Such actions will be taken after careful consideration by the journal's editorial team, based on the standards recommended by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) to ensure the transparency and integrity of the academic record.
Errata
A correction notice will be published when it is necessary to correct an error or omission made by the journal after publication that may affect the record of the publication or the reputation of the authors or the journal, but where the academic integrity of the article remains intact. The notice must provide clear details of the error and the changes that have been made to the document.
Corrections
A correction notice will be issued when it is necessary to correct an error or omission made by an author that affects the record of the publication or the reputation of the authors or the journal, but where the academic integrity of the article remains intact. The notice must provide clear details of the error and the changes that have been made to the document.
Retractions
A retraction notice will be published when a significant error invalidates the conclusions of the article, or when there has been misconduct in the research or misconduct in the publication. A separate retraction statement, titled ‘Retraction: [article title]’, will be published and linked to the retracted article. This note will be signed by the journal's editors.
Removal of articles
An article will be removed in exceptional circumstances where the problems are very serious and cannot be addressed by means of a correction or retraction notice. In this case, the metadata (authorship and title) will be retained and the text will be replaced by a document stating that the article has been removed for legal reasons.
