Aims and scope

Latente.Revista de Historia y Estética del Cine, Fotografía, Cómic y Cultura Visual is an annual digital publication created and managed by the Department of Art History and Philosophy at the Universidad de La Laguna and subject to blind peer review.

Its purpose is to contribute to the dissemination of research generated by researchers both within and outside the Department of Art History and Philosophy, serving as a driving force for both young researchers, who need encouragement, and more experienced researchers, who, with their expertise, can contribute innovative results and proven research techniques and methodologies.

Latente accepts any original and unpublished work in the form of articles, reviews, interviews, etc. related to the fields of film studies, photography, comics, and visual culture in general, both national and international.

Finally, Latente aims to be an open and respectful forum for discussion of any of the various current theoretical and methodological approaches to research, while also seeking to promote new avenues of research that respond to the demands of the development of the disciplines covered by the journal.
