Los japonesismos del español actual

Abstract

A thorough study concerning the Japanese loanwords used in the Spanish language has never been completed before. This was the trigger for the present article, which is a summary of our unpublished dissertation Los japonesismos de la lengua española: Historia y transcripción. It is intended to provide an inventory of current Japanese loanwords and propose some conclusions resulting from the analysis of the words, according to a morphosyntactical, semantic, historical and usage perspective.
