Gender Equality
The Revista de Filología de la Universidad La Laguna is firmly committed to gender policies that lead to real equality between women and men both in our scientific community and in society. To this end, it not only promotes the use of inclusive, non-sexist language, but is also committed to equal representation in its editorial team (Editorial Team, Editorial Board and Scientific Advisory Board), in which, at present, women account for more than half of its members. Likewise, it pursues parity among the external reviewers for submissions (see the List of reviewers) and recommends both that the linguistic and literary research and the results dissemination avoid gender bias.
It is also recommended that authors consider sex and gender variables in the research sample design, the formulation of research hypothesis, the theoretical and methodological framework, the discussion and analysis of results, and the conclusions of linguistic and literary studies, as well as in the transfer of knowledge.
Regarding reviewers' evaluation reports, it is advised that, when relevant, consideration be given to whether the research includes a disaggregated analysis by sex and gender.
