Christianizing classical texts: De spiritali amicitia of Ailred of Rievaulx
Abstract
The 12th century is the most important period of Medieval Latin literature. We deal with De spiritali amicitia of Ailred of Rievaulx exemplifiying a secular tradition that aims to combine Classical literature and Christianity.
