Recognition, adaptation and transfer

The recognition and transfer of academic credits will be carried out in accordance with the provisions of the Regulations on the recognition and transfer of credits of the ULL (RRTC), in accordance with the provisions of art. 10 of the RD 822/2021. In general, the possibility of recognizing credits is contemplated for official university teachings based on the criteria of suitability and academic-training coherence, with the limitations established in current regulations. Recognition may also be obtained by participation in university activities cultural, sports, student representation, solidarity and cooperation activities, as well as other academic activities of a teaching nature organized by the university in accordance with the RRTC.

In relation to the recognition of credits taken in official non-university higher education It also complies with the provisions of the Cooperation agreement between the Department of Education, Vocational Training, Physical Activity and Sports of the Government of the Canary Islands and the University of La Laguna for the reciprocal recognition between ULL undergraduate degrees and non-university higher education degrees in the autonomous community of the Canary Islands. If students are admitted to the degree from a Higher Vocational Training qualification with a direct relationship, a minimum of 36 credits and a maximum of 60 will be recognized. If they also hold a Master's degree in Vocational Training directly related to the degree, an additional 15 ECTS credits will be recognized (60 + 15 = 75). Credits earned in non-university higher education qualifications with no direct relationship to the degree may also be recognized, depending on their alignment in content and competencies/learning outcomes.

Regarding the recognition by work or employment experience Up to 36 credits will be recognized, provided that the experience is closely related to the knowledge, skills, and abilities of the official university degree. This will be applied preferably to internship or equivalent subjects. The requirements for this recognition (minimum length of experience required, number of credits recognized per month, etc.) are established in the RRTC (Regional Training and Training Regulation). The number of credits to be recognized for professional experience may not exceed 15% of the % (%) curriculum, in conjunction with the recognition of non-official university courses.

In any case, according to the RRTC, to obtain an official degree from the ULL it is required take and pass a minimum number of credits in that degree. This limitation does not apply to the recognition of credits between official degrees taken at the ULL and, if so agreed by the center's competent body, to continuing students admitted to the degree.
