The Journal
Clepsydra: International Journal of Gender Studies and Feminist Theory is a peer-reviewed, open-access scholarly journal published biannually by the Institute for Women's Studies (IUEM) at the Universidad de La Laguna. As an interdisciplinary digital publication, it is devoted to the dissemination of original and unpublished research articles in either Spanish or English. The journal seeks to provide a comprehensive perspective—encompassing all fields of Science and the Humanities—on the wide range of issues raised by gender analysis and feminist theory within diverse theoretical frameworks. It also examines the ways in which various academic disciplines engage with gender-based and feminist approaches.

Clepsydra is published every sixt monts, on March and November each year.
Average time between article submission and its publication is 27 weeks.
Structure
The journal is structured in four sections:
- Monography. Double-blind peer-reviewed section
- Miscellany. Double-blind peer-reviewed section
- Interviews. Not peer-reviewed section
- Recensions. Not peer-reviewed section
The Monograph section is dedicated to the publication of thematic dossiers that are necessarily interdisciplinary in nature. The Miscellany section welcomes research articles from any field within Gender and Feminist Studies. The Interview section provides a space to highlight the work and ideas of prominent scholars whose research is relevant to the theme of the monograph. These interviews are conducted by the guest editors of each thematic issue and are prepared in accordance with the journal’s editorial guidelines. The Recencions section publishes critical assessments of significant monographs related to the journal’s thematic scope.
