Competing Interests

Members of the Editorial Board and reviewers will recuse themselves in case of competing interests regarding the author or content of the manuscript to be evaluated. All conflicts of interest between authors, reviewers, and members of the Editorial Board will be avoided.

Members of the Editorial Board and reviewers will recuse themselves in case of conflict of interest regarding the author or content of the manuscript to be evaluated. All competing interests between authors, reviewers, and members of the Editorial Board will be avoided.

Those editing and reviewing must refrain from decision-making when:

  • There is a direct relationship between an author and the evaluator.
  • There has been recent and significant professional collaboration between the reviewers and the article's signatories.
  • The editor or reviewer is also a collaborator in the submitted project.
  • The editor or reviewer has an economic interest in a company with interests in the proposal.
  • The editor or reviewer considers they cannot conduct an objective analysis, either due to personal reasons or other interests.
