The PAU consists of two phases:
- General phase, mandatory for all students who have completed the LOMLOE Baccalaureate or previous educational systems, and have not previously passed the access test (Selectividad, PAU or EBAU).
- Option phase, It is voluntary, both for students in high school and for those in advanced vocational training, and offers students who take it the opportunity to obtain an admission grade higher than that obtained in the general phase.
Students must present themselves to FOUR subjects:
- Three common subjects 2nd year of high school LOMLOE:
- Spanish Language and Literature II
- Foreign Language II, freely chosen by the students for the test between German, French, English or Italian.
- History of Spain or History of Philosophy, freely chosen by the students for the test.
- The compulsory subject of the second year of Baccalaureate of the modality and, where applicable, route taken by the students.
- Science and Technology: Mathematics II or Mathematics Applied to Social Sciences II.
- Humanities and Social Sciences: Latin II or Applied Mathematics for Social Sciences II.
- Arts:
- Music and Performing Arts Itinerary: Musical Analysis II or Performing Arts II.
- Itinerary of Plastic Arts, Image and Design: Artistic Drawing II.
- General: General Sciences.
Students will be able to choose up to FOUR subjects ponderable of any type of Baccalaureate, whether or not you have taken them.
Only the subjects in which you have obtained will be taken into account a grade of at least 5 points.
The option phase is subject to the following rules:
- Students may take 1, 2, 3 or 4 subjects. In the event that you take FOUR subjects, ONE must be a Foreign Language..
- Regarding the compulsory subjects of the Baccalaureate modalities (Mathematics II, Mathematics applied to Social Sciences II, Latin II, Musical Analysis II, Performing Arts II, Artistic Drawing II or General Sciences):
- Yeah carries out the general phase in the same call, Whether it is for the first time or to improve your qualification, you can apply for A second compulsory subject of modality different from that carried out in the general phase.
- Yeah only applies to the option phase, may be presented to a maximum of TWO compulsory subjects.
- Students will be able to apply for History of Spain, as long as it has not been chosen in the general phase.
- Students will be able to apply for History of Philosophy, as long as it has not been chosen in the general phase.
- Regarding the Foreign languages (German, French, English or Italian):
- Yeah carries out the general phase in the same call, Whether it is for the first time or to improve your qualification, you can apply for A second different Foreign Language to that carried out in the general phase.
- Yeah only applies to the option phase, may apply to a maximum of TWO Foreign Language subjects of your choice.
- The rest of eligible subjects In the option phase they are the optional subjects:
- Biology, Choir and Vocal Technique II, Technical Drawing II, Technical Drawing Applied to the Plastic Arts II, Design, Business and Business Model Design, Physics, Artistic Fundamentals, Geography, Geology and Environmental Sciences, Greek II, History of Art, History of Music and Dance, Dramatic Literature, Cultural and Artistic Movements, Chemistry, Graphic and Plastic Expression Techniques, Technology and Engineering II.
Note: For each grade, the two weighted subjects that most favor the student in calculating the admission grade will be automatically taken into account.
The grade obtained in the optional phase in the core subjects of the chosen modality or in the foreign language will only be taken into account for the purposes of calculating the weighting of the admission grade for official undergraduate degrees, and will not, under any circumstances, affect the grade obtained in the general phase. If you wish to improve your grade in the general phase, you must take the full exam.
