Grades 25-26 > Sassy Diagne

Sassy Diagne

Sassy has solidarity in her veins. The daughter of Senegalese migrants, her life is a testament to resilience, empathy, and true commitment to those most in need.

Studying Labor Relations at the University of La Laguna, she has found the path to transform her vocation for help into transformative action.

More than boxes: dreams, dignity and hope

Every aid she distributes, every day of volunteering, every step she takes in her social project, Sassy does it with a deep conviction: that every small gesture can change a life.

Inspired by the stories of those who arrive seeking a better future, she decided to take action, and in 2018 founded the Xeewel Project, an initiative to offer real support to migrants in the Canary Islands.

Combining solidarity and training

Sassy's mornings start early, distributing aid at championships, and end in the classrooms of the University of La Laguna, where she studies Labor Relations to equip herself with more tools to make a lasting impact.

He knows that law can be a driving force for change. And he works every day to unite his passion, his personal history, and his training in a single direction: the defense of human dignity and rights.

The strength of a community that does not give up

For Sassy, every little bit counts. Every box delivered, every look of gratitude, every day of study is another step toward a more just future.

Sassy's story reminds us that no gesture is small when the goal is to transform lives.
