STRUCTURAL PROJECT FOR THE LOVE OF ART OF THE UNIVERSITY OF LA LAGUNA 2026

‘'‘The Days of the Book: a year to inhabit the word‘'‘

In 2026, the University of La Laguna, through the cultural project For the love of art, celebrates the centenary of the official creation of Book Day with a program which will extend throughout the entire year. Under the title The Days of the Book: A Year to Inhabit the Word, this initiative brings together meetings, performances, conferences and artistic experiences that invite the university community and society to celebrate reading as a space for encounter, critical thinking and collective creation.

Reading is much more than turning printed pages: it's interpreting the world, engaging in dialogue with other voices, and discovering new ways of seeing reality. That's why, This project proposes to understand reading as an open experience which is also expressed in theater, music, dance or film.

Throughout this page you will be able to discover all the scheduled events and activities, which make the University of La Laguna a place to share, reflect on, and celebrate written culture. Because we aspire for every day to be Book Day.
