The University

The Central Campus is located in the most modern part of the urban center of San Cristóbal de la Laguna. It features the ULL's most emblematic building, the so-called "Central Building," designed in the 1940s by architect José Enrique Marrero Regalado and completed by Domingo Pisaca y Burgada in 1953. It houses the Auditorium, the institution's main hall.

This building housed the Faculties of Law, Science, and Philosophy and Letters for many years, but the growth in student numbers and the creation of new campuses gradually reduced its academic activity. Currently, it houses administrative services and several vice-rector's offices. This campus houses:

  • Central Building.
  • Headquarters of the Social Council of the ULL.
  • Headquarters of the General Foundation of the ULL.
  • ULL central sports center.
  • Technical Architecture Section of the Higher Polytechnic School of Engineering.
  • Faculty of Education.
  • San Fernando and Santa María colleges.

The Anchieta Campus is a very well-connected location, as it is located next to one of the entrance roundabouts to the city of San Cristóbal de La Laguna, which also connects the northern municipalities of the island with the capital, Santa Cruz de Tenerife.

This space brings together the Science and Engineering departments of the University of La Laguna. Specifically, it houses:

  • All sections of the Faculty of Sciences: Biology, Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry.
  • The Faculty of Pharmacy.
  • The Agricultural Engineering Section of the Higher Polytechnic School of Engineering.
  • The Higher School of Engineering and Technology.
  • The headquarters of the General Research Support Service (SEGAI).
  • ULL-CajaCanarias Student Services Building
  • School of Doctoral and Graduate Studies.

The Guajara Campus is the largest in the entire ULL, completed in the mid-1980s, although it has buildings inaugurated in 2014 and still has undeveloped land for future buildings. It is located near the town of San Cristóbal de La Laguna, flanking the TF-5 northern highway and well connected by buses and trams.

This space houses all the Humanities and Social Sciences studies, as well as one of the institution's most important spaces, the Library Service headquarters, whose invaluable collection houses books dating back to the 16th century. The campus includes:

  • All sections of the Faculty of Humanities: Philology, Philosophy, Geography, and History.
  • Faculty of Fine Arts: Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Assets, Design and Fine Arts.
  • All sections of the Faculty of Social and Communication Sciences: Social and Cultural Anthropology, Journalism, Sociology, and Social Work.
  • Faculty of Psychology and Speech Therapy.
  • Law school.
  • Faculty of Economics, Business and Tourism.
  • General Classroom.
  • General and Humanities Library.
  • ULL-CajaCanarias Student Services Building.
  • University Residence Park of the Islands.

This campus is located near the University Hospital of the Canary Islands (HUC), as it houses most of the higher education programs related to Health Sciences, with the exception of Psychology and Speech Therapy. The relationship with the hospital is very fluid. Although it is not a ULL facility (it belongs to the Canary Islands Health Service), it is vital for teaching and research in programs such as Medicine and Nursing. This campus houses:

  • Sections of Medicine and Nursing and Physiotherapy of the Faculty of Health Sciences.
  • Affiliated School of Nursing Our Lady of Candelaria.

It is not a campus per se, as it is not structured as a clearly defined urban enclave housing several university buildings. However, this term is valid to bring together the various institutional buildings located in the capital municipality of Tenerife. Namely:

  • Section of Nautical Engineering, Machinery and Naval Radioelectronics of the Higher Polytechnic School of Engineering.
  • Tenerife Tourism School (affiliated center).

Located in Adeje, it is physically located in an extension of the municipal cultural center that for many years has hosted the various editions of the Adeje Summer University and some specific courses. As a result of this educational relationship, the possibility arose of expanding the ULL's educational offering in the southern city, with the establishment of a permanent campus, which finally became a reality in 2012.

Currently, this campus only offers the Bachelor's Degree in Tourism offered by the Faculty of Economics, Business, and Tourism, but the possibility of expanding it to include additional disciplines, either as an undergraduate or postgraduate program, is under consideration.
