The researcher Londa Schiebinger She holds a PhD from Harvard University and directs a project on gender innovation in science, medicine, engineering, and the environment. She is an international authority on gender and science, having earned honorary doctorates from the universities of Valencia, Lund (Sweden), and the Free University of Brussels. She is also the recipient of numerous awards, including the Alf Andrew Heggoy Book, the National Institutes of Health, the National Society of Medical Women, the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, and Stanford University.
Her research has focused on the history of women's participation in science, gender in the structure of scientific research, and the gender of human knowledge, making her a recognized international authority on gender and science.
With a solid academic background and a prolific career, Dr. Schiebinger has significantly contributed to the understanding and improvement of gender inclusion in science and technology. Her sponsor at the ceremony will be Carina Soledad González González.
