The Legal Advisory Office is a service responsible for providing legal assistance to the University, as well as its legal representation and defense, participating in the drafting of general regulations. It operates in accordance with the principles of loyalty, legality, objectivity, and impartiality, maintaining strict confidentiality regarding matters it becomes aware of in the course of its duties. It also refrains from issuing legal reports or opinions to members of the university community that could be used to support complaints, claims, or appeals against the University of La Laguna. Its functions include supporting, advising, and assisting both the Rector and individual and collegiate bodies; issuing legal reports on all types of regulations and documents; processing appeals in court; and representing the University of La Laguna and its members in court when acting in the exercise of their official duties.
