The assignment to this program has led to the preparation and development of the Manual for the Evaluation of Teaching Activity, approved by the Governing Council in June 2008 and certified by ANECA and ACECAU In January 2009, the pilot phase of the Manual was already underway throughout the 2010-2011 academic year. Since then, successive revisions have been made, along with modifications and improvements to the teaching evaluation procedure, as outlined in the Manual. Teacher evaluation calls have been held every academic year.

The adopted evaluation model contemplates the initiation of a periodic process every five years, based on the assessment of three dimensions and their evaluation. Teaching planning, teaching delivery, and results, including teacher training and innovation, are the dimensions of teaching activity that will be evaluated based on the criteria of adequacy, satisfaction, efficiency, and improvement-orientation, in line with the guidelines and obligations of the university institution.
