Technical Office

The Technical Office carries out its work with the ultimate goal of ensuring an accessible, safe, efficient, and sustainable environment for the development of university, teaching, academic, and administrative activities. To this end, it is entrusted with the management of ULL's works and infrastructure, providing advice and technical work for the construction, maintenance, repair, and adaptation of infrastructure in coordination with the university's own services and in accordance with current regulations. Its vision is focused on optimizing the use of infrastructure to achieve the best possible conditions of quality, functionality, and habitability. It strives to achieve optimal working conditions for the entire university community, fostering the best possible socio-labor climate and maximizing employee productivity, supported by new technologies that allow for measuring results and facilitating decision-making.

Services offered to the user

  • Participation and advice in technical committees for the awarding of contracts for works, services and equipment.
  • Collaboration and monitoring of students in internships at the EU of Technical Architecture and Engineering.
  • Technical advice and collaboration in the execution of work with the Maintenance Service and the Prevention Service of the ULL.
  • Processing the necessary documentation with large supply companies (Teidagua, Enmasa, Endesa, Disa).
  • Processing with other administrations (City Councils, Autonomous Community, Island Council) of the relevant inter-administrative collaborations for the granting of permits and licenses for the actions to be carried out in the infrastructures of the ULL.
  • To provide the necessary graphic information required by members of the university community.
  • Provide information on suitable construction companies to carry out the work.
  • Precise technical advice that responds to a requested demand.
  • Creation of graphic records (sketches, photographs) of the evolution of the works and infrastructures of the ULL.
  • Preparation of graphic documentation, data on spaces and uses, of all facilities for the availability of all members of the university community.
  • Periodic updates to the ULL infrastructure planimetry.
  • Coordination and monitoring of multi-year contracts: elevators, air conditioning and domestic hot water, high voltage, low voltage, generator sets, fire protection systems, gas and wildlife control.
  • Regarding the state of the infrastructure due to the detection of a situation that requires immediate technical action.
  • Regarding the state of the infrastructure in response to a request from the services and governing bodies of the ULL.
  • Coordination in matters of Safety and Health in the works with Technical Management in the OT.
  • Feasibility studies and valuation of major and minor works proposed by Centers, Departments and Services of the ULL.
  • Creation of graphic records (sketches, photographs) of the evolution of the works and infrastructures of the ULL.
  • Control and monitoring of major and minor works with Technical Direction in the OT: Formalization of the Verification Report of the Layout, control of periodic Certifications, formalization of the Acceptance Report and control of the Final Certification.
  • Management and monitoring of major works with external Technical Management: Formalization of the Verification Report of the Layout, control of periodic Certifications, formalization of the Acceptance Report and control of the Final Certification.
