Second introductory course 'Agents in international cooperation'‘

April 10

The Vice-Rectorate for Internationalization and Cooperation, in collaboration with the Foreign Action Department of the Island Council of Tenerife and the Coordinator of Development NGOs of the Canary Islands, is organizing the second edition of the course “Agents in International Cooperation”, a training program designed to raise awareness and prepare students in the field of international cooperation and development.

The course comprises 16 hours of in-person instruction, taking place on April 10, 11, 24, and 25, 2026, at the Vice-Rector's Office (Aula Viana 50). This will be supplemented by online sessions and practical assignments, allowing participants to earn 1 ECTS credit. This introductory course will be led by Professor Daniel Buraschi from the Faculty of Education, who has a proven track record of success in training and sharing cooperation experiences with ULL students.

The training is aimed especially at students benefiting from the ULL call for “Aid for Bachelor's and Official Master's students, intended for carrying out international university cooperation internships for development in non-EU countries during the year 2025”.

During the course, students will have the opportunity to learn about the main actors, strategies and regulatory framework of international cooperation in the Canary Islands; to approach real experiences of cooperation for development, learning about their opportunities and challenges, innovations and achievements and, finally, to explore communication and education strategies for global citizenship, applicable to their future practices and projects.

The methodology combines specialized presentations, presentations of NGO experiences, and practical workshops, culminating in a sharing and co-evaluation session that will allow learning to be integrated in an active and participatory manner.

At the end of the course, participants will be better prepared to intervene consciously and effectively in international cooperation projects, applying theoretical, practical and strategic knowledge that will serve them during their experiences abroad.

Free assistance upon prior registration. Sign up here.
