The Paraninfo of the University of La Laguna hosts Carmina Burana, the masterpiece by composer Carl Orff that has marked the history of music, one of the most emblematic works of the symphonic choral repertoire of the 20th century.

We present the composer's acclaimed version for two pianos, percussion, vocal soloists, and choir. A work of great expressive richness, musical complexity, and a true interpretive challenge.

Written in a direct language, the universality of its texts - based on medieval poems that address themes such as destiny, love, nature and pleasure - makes it a work that is close and very attractive to all audiences.

Come and experience the intensity of an unmissable concert in the heart of university cultural life. The performance will feature a cast including:

• Contemporary Choir of Tenerife (Dir: Esther M. Wagenaar)
• Percussion group of the Professional Music Conservatory of Santa Cruz de Tenerife
• Pianists: Laura Gordo and Romarey Cabrera
• Soloists: Candelaria González Torres (soprano), Jorge Cordero (tenor) and Andrés Darío Campovari (baritone)
• Musical direction: Emilio Díaz.
