In a context of global democratic crisis and the reconfiguration of colonial logics, it is urgent to think from the margins. Latin America, and especially the Southern Cone, has been a key political and cultural laboratory for understanding the mutations of colonial capitalism. Chile, the guest country at this edition of Campus América, offers a paradigmatic case: from the neoliberalism imposed under the dictatorship to the recent constitutional process. This seminar proposes a South-South and decolonial dialogue, articulating classical and contemporary frameworks (Bourdieu, Dussel, Grosfoguel) with feminist and decolonial thinkers (Segato, Gago, Rivera Cusicanqui). Neoliberalism and democracy, extractivism and the green transition, and political and cultural resistance will be addressed, with a special emphasis on Chilean and regional critical thought.
