In an archipelago where opportunities seem to pass by as slowly as the 91 bus, Meryem, a 25-year-old, tries to find her place between working at Supersaurio, the largest supermarket chain in the Canary Islands, and the expectations the world places upon her. Canarian by birth and of Moroccan descent, her life is a constant search for identity and belonging.

Fanfiction, disastrous dates, excessive coffee, and a seemingly endless routine make up Meryem's daily life. As she navigates the murky waters of the generation gap, the false meritocracy, job insecurity, mass tourism, and the housing crisis, she tells herself every morning that she won't inherit the company… though sometimes she forgets.
