The fifth edition of Campus America is coming, from October 19 to 30, a space for evaluating and promoting the internationalization actions of the University of La Laguna with the American continent, this year with Chile as the guest country.

Don't miss the screening and subsequent panel discussion of the animated film "Winnipeg, the Ship of Hope," a Chilean-Canarian film released in 2016 that has received widespread critical acclaim. Directed by Beñat Beitia and Elio Quiroga, the film tells the story of Víctor and his daughter Julia, who, in the context of the Spanish Civil War, are forced to flee to France and later find in Chile the opportunity to rebuild their lives, in a moving journey marked by exile, hope, and the search for a better future. Following the screening, a roundtable discussion will be held with the directors, Chilean producer Marianne Mayer-Beckh, and Tenerife-born composer Diego Navarro, where the audience will have the opportunity to learn firsthand about the creative processes, anecdotes, and interesting facts behind the film, creating a unique space for dialogue between cinema, historical memory, and artistic creation.
