On April 29, 2026, at 7:30 p.m. in the Paraninfo of the University of La Laguna, Tenerife, the event 'StandUp Against the Blockade' will take place. This comedy show aims to raise funds and highlight an initiative promoted by more than 20 social and political organizations to help the Cuban people during this difficult time of crisis caused by the financial and commercial blockade imposed by the United States.

‘'Heading to Cuba' is an initiative that seeks to send a humanitarian flotilla to break the blockade and carry photovoltaic material to help the Cuban health system, more specifically to make the Care Unit of the Juan Manuel Márquez Pediatric Hospital in Havana self-sufficient.

This evening of comedy will feature Canarian comedians Jessica Rojano, David García, and Gerson Ramos, leading figures in Canarian comedy and political activism. The show will be hosted by Carlos Castillo. We'll also have music by Daniel Melo.

An evening full of humor and solidarity between communities is expected. In this case, CCOO Canarias and the CCOO Canarias Services Federation are collaborating in organizing the event.

Tickets purchased for this event will be an individual donation from each person to the Open Arms campaign. (excluding handling fees)
