Institutional and Corporate Chairs are an ideal instrument to provide stable collaboration between the ULL and the companies and institutions in our environment, with a view to achieving objectives of common interest.
The University of La Laguna, through the Vice-Rectorate for Culture and University Extension, intends to continue promoting the creation of Institutional and Business Chairs, as well as definitively consolidating this new structure of actions to deepen its link with the society of which we are a part.
This area brings together professorships focused on the analysis of economic and business activity, entrepreneurship, the social economy, trade, employment, and labor relations. It integrates diverse perspectives to facilitate knowledge transfer to the productive sector, promote new business initiatives, and contribute to improving competitiveness, job quality, and dialogue among businesses, workers, and institutions.
Chair of Economics and Mobility, Cajacanarias Foundation – Tenerife Island Council, University of La Laguna
Chair attached to the University Institute of Regional Development. Its director is Rosa Marina González Marrero, professor at the ULL.
It focuses its interest on the following thematic areas: Transport, mobility and infrastructure, competition and regulation, energy and sustainable development, among others.
Cajasiete Chair of Social and Cooperative Economy, University of La Laguna
The Cajasiete Chair of Social and Cooperative Economy aims to bring students, teachers and society in general closer to the reality of cooperative societies, worker-owned companies, mutual societies, company-foundations, economic interest groupings, social enterprises, savings banks, mutual guarantee societies, and non-profit associations, which make up the concept of Social Economy.
DISA Foundation Chair of Young Entrepreneurs at the University of La Laguna
An initiative of the University of La Laguna and the Disa Foundation aimed at promoting entrepreneurship and business creation among university students, as well as research on entrepreneurship. The activities to be developed by the Disa Foundation Chair for Young Entrepreneurs at the University of La Laguna focus on the dissemination, promotion, training, and research of entrepreneurial activity.
CEOE-Tenerife Chair of Business and Labor Relations at the University of La Laguna
The Chair aims to promote training, research, and dissemination of labor relations and the Canarian business community. Its generic and exclusive framework will focus on business and labor relations within the Canarian business sector, and more specifically on new models of labor relations, collective bargaining, competitiveness and productivity, professional qualifications, work organization, economics and work, business and people management, and the Canarian labor market.
Interuniversity Chair of Commerce
The Interuniversity Chair of Commerce is a collaborative effort between the Canary Islands' public universities and the Canary Islands Government to improve knowledge of the Canary Islands' commercial sector. The goal is to promote training, research studies on commercial activity and complementary services, and disseminate this activity as a source of value and socioeconomic development.
This area brings together academic chairs related to tourism, land management, the environment, and the sustainable use of natural and cultural resources. It integrates diverse perspectives on local and regional development, tourism planning, the blue economy, rural areas, and heritage conservation, with the aim of promoting balanced and responsible development models adapted to the specific characteristics of the Canary Islands.
Cajacanarias Tourism Chair – Ashotel – University of La Laguna
The University of La Laguna – CajaCanarias – Ashotel Tourism Chair is a project promoted by the three entities to establish a structured research group within the academic institution focused on tourism and directly linked to the business world. The chair's researchers are professors from the University of La Laguna itself, belonging to different academic disciplines and currently working in tourism.
Chair of Agrotourism and Wine Tourism of the Canary Islands of the Canary Islands Institute of Agri-Food Quality, University of La Laguna

Canary Islands Chair of Pharmacy, Official College of Pharmacists of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, University of La Laguna
The Canary Islands Chair of Pharmacy was founded with the mission of creating a collaborative working environment between the University and the pharmaceutical profession, which promotes training, research and development activities, as well as the dissemination and transfer of knowledge, in aspects related to medicine and the professional performance of the pharmacist for the benefit and promotion of community health from the pharmacy, and the technological support services for pharmaceutical services.

Chair of the Gomero Whistle
Silbo Gomero is a phonological system reduced to six phonemes with great sonority, used for long-distance communication in an island context characterized by rugged terrain and significant challenges for land-based communication. It is one of the most unique expressions of the traditional culture of the Canary Islands. Since 2009, it has been recognized by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
