Grilled coffee (cartographies of contemporary art)

April 17

The Cultural Classroom of Contemporary Artistic Thought, in collaboration with Espacio Cultural Malestado, is organizing this seminar which will be held at the Malestado headquarters on Fridays, April 17 and 24, and May 8 and 15, 2026, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Café a la Brasa aims—more than to offer a seminar—to create a habit: that of meeting to talk, in a relaxed atmosphere, about what's happening in (or what's happening to) art. Based on the "methodology" of the philosophical café, the idea is simple: once a week, over coffee, a topic related to contemporary art is raised in a somewhat provocative tone, with the intention of sparking a debate focused on analyzing the extent and meaning to which the issue resonates with us. We're interested in raising these topics not so much because we already know them, but because we'd like to learn about them and approach them from different perspectives.

Aimed at anyone interested in contemporary art and thought.

Academic Director: Ramón Jesús Salas Lamamie de Clairac. Full Professor, Department of Fine Arts, University of La Laguna.

CERTIFICATE OF ATTENDANCE AND COMPETENCE: The University of La Laguna, through the Vice-Rectorate for Culture and University Extension, will issue a certificate of attendance to all participants who register for the activity.
