The course «"Well-being, care and emotional health in the helping professions» It is part of the programming of the University Extension Courses of the “Adeje Summer University 2026”, and will be held in the municipality of Adeje on July 9 and 10.

Goals:

• Reflect, from the perspective of Wellbeing, on the emotional care of helping professionals.
• Promote a culture of emotional care among helping professionals by integrating self-care and co-care.
• Formulate proposals for the creation of communities of affective care among helping professionals.
• Develop emotional skills for the care of helping professionals.
• Reflect on the humanization of care as a guiding principle of the mental health of helping professionals.
• Draw conclusions about the present and future challenges of humanizing care for helping professionals in a context of high systemic adversity.

The course is aimed at teachers, doctors, nurses, psychologists, pedagogues, social workers, social educators, educational managers, health and social entities and in general helping professionals.

CERTIFICATE OF ATTENDANCE, COMPETENCE AND RECOGNITION BY ECTS CREDIT

The University of La Laguna, through the Vice-Rectorate for Culture and University Extension, will issue a certificate of attendance to all those who attend at least 80% of the scheduled class hours. Likewise, those who successfully complete the independent student work will receive a certificate of attendance and achievement, which is also recognized as an ECTS credit.
