October 6 - 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm

The ITB 2026 Research Seminar program continues on Tuesday, October 6th at 1:00 PM with a seminar by Dr. Tamara Hernández Beeftink, a researcher at ITB and the HUNSC Research Unit within the "Genetic Variation and Disease" group, who will give a talk on... «Comprehensive in silico functional annotation of known Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis risk variants».
Tamara Hernández Beeftink holds a PhD in Health Sciences and is a Sara Borrell Research Fellow at the Research Unit of the Nuestra Señora de Candelaria University Hospital. Her research focuses on identifying genetic risk factors in critical and chronic diseases. Specifically, her talk is based on research conducted during her postdoctoral period at the University of Leicester (UK) on the characterization and prioritization of functional genetic variants and candidate genes in susceptibility to idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis.
Like all the seminars that will be held throughout this year, in addition to being held in person at the ITB Seminar Room, they can be followed through the following Google Meet link.
