Technology and mind: thinking, learning and deciding in the digital age

March 17 - 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

The University Institute of Neuroscience, in collaboration with the CajaCanarias Foundation, has organized an event for International Brain Awareness Week, to which we would like to invite you. It is the meeting “Technology and Mind: Thinking, Learning, and Deciding in the Digital Age,” which will be held on March 17th at 7:00 p.m. at the CajaCanarias Cultural Center (Santa Cruz de Tenerife). The event proposes an interdisciplinary dialogue among specialists from different fields to reflect on how digital technologies and artificial intelligence are transforming the way we think, learn, relate to one another, and make decisions.

In a world where algorithms, screens, and notifications constantly compete for our attention, new questions arise about changes in our cognitive processes, how we build social connections, and the ethical challenges associated with technological development. At the same time, these tools offer significant opportunities in fields such as education and healthcare, making a space for shared reflection especially necessary.

The meeting will feature the participation of Ernesto Pereda (Physics), María José Rodrigo (Evolutionary Psychology), Manuel de Vega (Experimental Psychology) and Olga Tapia (Neurobiology).

Entry is free until capacity is reached.
