The Tenerife Island Council, through its Department of Innovation, Research and Development, has launched a call for applications for the recruitment and training of PhDs in companies, called “PhDs 2026.” This initiative offers a unique opportunity for young PhDs to join companies on the island, applying their knowledge to research and development projects. It is a strategic investment that not only fosters innovation but also generates skilled employment and strengthens collaboration between universities and local businesses.

Furthermore, this initiative is part of a set of strategic collaboration programs with universities and research centers, including agreements with the University of La Laguna, the Institute of Astrophysics of the Canary Islands, and the State Agency CSIC, with significant investments in training, applied research and European R&D&I projects, exceeding 6 million euros annually in current expenditure.
