National Accreditation
The procedure for obtaining national accreditation for university teaching staff, regulated by Royal Decree 1312/2007 of October 5, entrusts the National Agency for Quality Assessment and Accreditation (ANECA) with various tasks in the accreditation process. To this end, ANECA has established the ACADEMY program, through which applicants can submit documentation that will subsequently be sent to the committees and, where appropriate, to the experts.

Accreditation (hiring of teachers)
The assessment required for the hiring of teaching staff by public universities in the Canary Islands, as provided for in Articles 50, 51, and 52 of the Organic Law on Universities and in Regional Decree 140/2002, of October 7, must be carried out by the Agency in accordance with the protocol approved for this purpose by its Governing Council.
The Agency is open throughout the year to accept applications for pre-accreditation prior to hiring university professors at Canary Islands universities. Several evaluation sessions will be held throughout the year based on the applications received.
